Back Peels

COST: $200

WHAT IS IT?

Our Acne Back Peel procedure aims at exfoliating and rejuvenating the skin on the back. This procedure is similar to facial peels but targets the skin on the back, which can often be prone to acne, roughness, or uneven texture. Back peels can help address issues such as acne, scars, hyperpigmentation, and sun damage.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The Acne Back Peel process begins with a thorough skin assessment to tailor the treatment to your skin's specific needs. A potent 15% TCA peel solution is applied to the skin on the back, which causes the top layers of the skin to peel off revealing smoother, healthier skin underneath. Aftercare advice is provided to ensure lasting results as well as home care to provide the best results possible. The entire process aims to clear existing acne, dark spots, and extensive sun damage revealing healthier more radiant skin. Back peels are performed every four to six weeks and will normally require multiple sessions to achieve final results.

Things To Know:

After undergoing a chemical back peel, it's important to follow specific guidelines to ensure proper healing and to optimize the results of the treatment. Here are some things to avoid post- chemical back peel:

  • Direct Sun Exposure: The skin will be more sensitive to sunlight after a chemical peel. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF when outdoors. Wear protective clothing, hats, and seek shade whenever possible.

  • Picking or Peeling: It's essential to resist the urge to pick at or peel off any flaking or peeling skin. Let the skin naturally shed the dead cells to avoid irritation, scarring, or infection.

  • Excessive Heat: Avoid hot baths, steam rooms, saunas, or any activity that may cause excessive sweating or heat on the treated area. Heat can increase inflammation and irritation.

  • Harsh Skincare Products: Refrain from using harsh or abrasive skincare products, such as exfoliants, scrubs, or products containing alcohol or fragrance. Stick to gentle, non-irritating cleansers and moisturizers recommended by your skincare professional.

  • Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs: Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools or soaking in hot tubs for at least one week post-peel, as chlorine and other chemicals can irritate the skin and interfere with the healing process.

  • Strenuous Exercise: Minimize strenuous physical activities and workouts that cause excessive sweating for the first few days following the peel. Sweat can irritate the skin and compromise the results of the treatment.

  • Tight Clothing: Wear loose-fitting clothing to prevent friction and irritation on the treated area. Avoid tight bras, shirts, or clothing that rub against the back.

  • Skin Irritants: Avoid products containing harsh chemicals, fragrances, or dyes that may irritate the skin. Opt for gentle, non- comedogenic skincare products to prevent clogged pores and breakouts.
